Sunil Dutt brought back Nargis who was in 'coma'!

The story of Satyavan Savitri is very popular in our Puranic stories. It has a legend that Savitri brought back the life of her dead husband Satyavan. We often get the impression that the power of love is great in our daily life. He often felt this in the lives of actor Sunil Dutt and actress Nargis. In fact, the marriage of these two was very unexpected for the fans. But Nargis erases all her past with her own hands after marriage and with the justice of 'Sunil Eke Sunil' she revels in his world. Nargis played a major role in building Sunil Dutt's career. Nargis later involved herself in social work. Prime Minister Indira Gandhi took Nargis Dutt to the Rajya Sabha. A son and two daughters blossomed on their samsara vine. While everything was going well, in the mid-seventies, their world took a turn and Nargis succumbed to cancer.

Sunil Dutt was shocked by this news but soon recovered himself and decided to give Nargis the best possible treatment in the world. He took Nargis straight to America and started her treatment there. But gradually Nargis's immunity weakened and her organs started to fail and she ended up in a coma in a hospital in America! She was later placed on life support. Doctors in America called Sunil Dutt and said that “Nargis we see alive now is only because of the life support system. Now we don't think she will recover and come back. And even if it comes back, it will live for a long time. Then you decide. We will withdraw the life support system. Let's not hurt her any more. Let her go in peace.” Sunil Dutt was very relieved after hearing this from the doctor.

Hearing what the doctor had said about his beloved wife, he said, “Wait. I cannot take this decision alone. I need to talk to my children.” Later, Sunil Dutt called Sanjay, Namrata and Priya to America and made them aware of the fact. All the three started crying. But still he said, “No. You should not remove the Life System machine while the machine is on and the medicine is being taken. Let her live like this. It is very important for us to have her.” Sunil Dutt (sunil dutt) said goodbye to his family to the doctors and kept the life support system!

At that time, someone told Sunil Dutt that when a person is in a coma, that person's inner heart is awake, if this inner heart is satisfied, that person can be cured! Since then, Sunil Dutt used to go to Nargis's room in the hospital, sit on her pillow and talk to her for hours. He used to talk alone with Nargis for four or five hours every day, telling her about the day after their marriage, reading letters from lovers from India to her, telling her what the boys thought of her. And a week later a miracle happened. Nargis opened her eyes. She smiled softly looking at Sunil Dutt.

Sunil Dutt immediately called the doctors. Doctors also felt this was a great miracle. Sunil Dutt's hard work, penance and love had paid off. Nargis was speaking properly now. In our Indian stories, Savitri brought back Satyavan's life, but here it was exactly the opposite. Nargis said to Sunil Dutt, “I know; I don't have many days. But I don't want to die in this foreign country. Take me to your India. I want to take my last breath in my motherland!” Sunil Dutt brought her back to India as per her wishes.

Then Sanjay Dutt's first movie 'Rocky' was made. Only his exhibition remained. His trial show was also arranged for Nargis. She saw her son fall silver. Tears were flowing from her eyes while watching the entire movie. And within a few hours after that she died happily. That day was 3 May 1981. This touching memory was shared by Sunil Dutt with Simi Greval in the program Renduzvous with Simi Greval in 1997.
