This is how Saira got an opportunity to work with Dilipji
Those were the days of Rajesh Khanna's extraordinary craze. His picture used to hit the screens only to become a super hit. It was like a habit and a passion of movie theaters. In this way, in 1970, there was a huge debate among the media, film industry and film lovers. Johnny Mera Naam (Mumbai release 20 November 1970) directed by Vijay Anand and starring Dev Anand, A. Gopi (released November 27, 1970) directed by Bhimsingh and starring Dilip Kumar and Mera Naam Joker (released December 1970) starring Raj Kapoor directed by Bhimsingh and starring Dilip Kumar, are always released, from studio canteens to Irani hotel chats, etc. There is a back and forth discussion on the same pictures. (Dilip Kumar)
There was a lot of talk about pictures and cricket
(and even politics) in those days through noses, kattas, galleries, long
journeys. Newspapers, weekly magazines and magazines wrote about these
three films for almost a year. I remember when I was in school and in the
Rasarang weekly which was brought home from the library, I used to write about
all these three films Vasant Sathe, Vasant Bhalekar, Isaak Mujavar. Vasant
Sathesaheb is the writer of Raj Kapoor's films (he himself wrote 'Babby') and
publicist (namely Sathesaheb and MB Samant's Bombay Publicity Service) so he
knows a lot about the ins and outs of 'Joker' while it is still in
production. (Over time, when I came to the media, I understood many things
after developing a very good relationship with Sathesaheb.)
From the month of May, June, the songs of these
three films (EP and LP) were sold in rhythm houses and other places and the
songs of all the three became popular as they were heard, played on
loudspeakers, played in orchestras. 'Gopi' was given such a certificate by
the censors on August 28 and now the preparations for the exhibition have
started. During that time, many films were first released in Delhi and
various cities in North India and then came to Mumbai. (Same thing
happened to Gopi.) Some were first released in Mumbai. (It happened to
Johnny and Joker.) Gopi's lyrics and dialogues are by Rajendra Krishna and
music is by Kalyanji Anandji. (Dilip Kumar)
Ramchandra Kahe Gaya (Singer Mahendra Kapoor),
Jatalman Jatalman Mai Hu Babu Jatalman (Lata Mangeshkar and Mahendra Kapoor),
Sukh Ke Sabhi Saathi (Mohammed Rafi), Ek Padosan Pied Gai (Lata Mangeshkar and
Mahendra Kapoor), Akele Hi Akele Chala Hai Kauhan (Lata Mangeshkar) all songs
are hits. Sukh Ke Sab Saathi song tells the philosophy of life in simple
language. It is clear from the song that this is a rural story. The
producer of the film T. S. Muthyuswamy and S. S. Palaniappan
(Madras. Now Chennai). The film is a remake of the 1964 film Chinnada
Gombe (Kannada) and Muradan Muthu (Tamil). Hindi remake of southern
regional language films is a very old tradition. And there is nothing
wrong with that. Saira Banu's happiness became important. (Dilip Kumar)
After getting married, Saira Banu had the
opportunity to act in a film with Dilip Kumar for the first time. This
opportunity was not available until then. This film is important in both
life and career. Over time, Saira Banu shared a post about this happiness
in social media. The focus was on the joy of shooting the first scene with
Saheb on the occasion of 'Gopi'. It was very candidly said, one of my
dreams has come true. I got to work with Abhinay Shahenshah. A bit
nervous to be working with a smart acting icon, Saira Banu opened up about her
feelings. Also posted a photo of both of them. Many fans responded
positively to this post. Actually 'Gopi' was a very previous generation
movie, but many such movies never get old. Next generation movie buffs are
also known.

Gopi' stars Johnny Walker, Sudesh Kumar, Mukri, Om
Prakash, Nirupa Roy, Farida Jalal, Lalita Pawar, Durga Khote and Pran in lead
roles. Relationships, misunderstandings and the path taken by 'Gopi' are
simple things like that. The general film buffs of that time expected that
the setting should be colorful, the lyrics and dance should be heavy and the
acting should be effective. Loved the sweet ending of the movie.
In those days there were fifteen minute programs promoting new films on various
Bharati channels. It was widely heard. Two dialogues from the program
of 'Gopi' became very popular. 'Gopi' says, mai hanuman ka bhakta, mere
bare mein kaise kaise vycharte ho, aisi baate socho to pap lag jagaga.. Seema's
(ie Saira Banu) dialogue was also a hit, beech me gopi raja chara taraf gopiya…
'Gopi' achieved Silver Jubilee success at Main
Theater Apsara in Mumbai and Saira Banu's successful journey as a heroine after
marriage continued as before. That too with heroes like Dharmendra,
Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna. The success of a picture depends on many
things.
