Rafi's Last Song by Composer Usha Khanna!

In the field of Hindi cinema, the world of music composers seems to be dominated by men. But female musician Usha Khanna has carved out a niche for herself in this male-dominated world.

His career started with Shashidhar Mukherjee's Filmista Sansthan film 'Dil Deke Dekho' in 1959 . Many melodious songs were given through films in the sixties and seventies. Rafi is his favorite singer. When we start thinking about the musical career of Rafi and Usha Khanna together, many songs start humming in our mind.

'After today I will not step into your streets', I immediately remember the song 'Havas' or the movie. In the same way, I have kept my love in the name of my story (Shabnam), you have come as a friend (Bin Phere Hum Tere), we will die separated from you (a snake charmer, a robber), we and you and this Sama (see with heart) how would we have won. Hai Log Dil Kisika (Saajan Bina Suhagan) this song also has a special place for us. Usha Khanna had shared many memories of Rafi with the listeners in the midterm Vividh Bharativar program. In it, he also sang the memories of the recording of the last song sung by Rafi in his music.

The film was directed by Ambarish Sehgal and in the film 'Aap To Aise Na They', he recorded the song 'Tu Is Tarha Se Meri Zindagi Mein Shamil Hai...' written by Nida Fazli in Rafi's voice. Usha Khanna says, “In fact, Rafi's health was not very good at that time. However, Rafi attended the recording at the invitation of Usha Khanna. During the rehearsals itself, everyone thought that the song would become a hit. Rafi was also very happy to hear the melody of this song. He recorded this song with great enthusiasm on the day of recording. Music composer Usha Khanna had no idea that this would be her last song with Rafi Saheb. On that day, Rafi had fever in his body. Even in that state, he sang that song very melodiously.

After the song was over, Rafi placed his hand on Usha Khanna's head and said, "Khuda apam kushhal rahke!" While narrating this incident, Usha Khanna became sad. Rafi died on 31 July 1980. Aap To Aise Na They was released on 5th December 1980 within a few months. Rafi's song was in this movie. This song was very popular in Binaka Geet Mala during that time. The song was played on Radio Ceylon every morning at eight o'clock in the program 'Aap Hi Ke Geet' for several days.

The sentiments of the song Tu Is Tarah Se Meri Zindagi Mein Shamil Hai… sung by Rafi made the fans even more emotional. Rafi's voice is perfect in this song! The popularity of this song benefited the movie quite a bit. The movie ran for the first few weeks. But as there was not much different in this family drama, the movie could not hold on for a long time at the box office. Along with the movie, slowly this song also went into the oblivion of the fans!

Raj Babbar and Deepak Parashar were a famous pair during that time. Both are young, hot and handsome! His famous movies are Insaaf Ka Taraju, Nikah. Deepak Parashar was a big model. Ranjita was the co-star in the movie. But with all this, the furnace of this movie did not work. The plot revolving around a love triangle was not well liked by the audience. The important thing about this song is that due to this song, a talented lyricist like 'Nida' Fazli was introduced to the Indian film industry

received Later, his songs in the movies Nakhuda, Harjai, Razia Sultan, Sur became popular. It turned out to be a popular song that came out of his pen. Another feature of this song is that the same song is sung separately by Hemlata and Manahar in the film too! This means that the same song may be the only song sung independently by three different singers. Rafi's song is slightly faster while the other two are slower. Usha Khanna is one of the most successful female musicians in India. The orchestration of this song was amazing. Being a party song, there is abundant use of western instruments.
